Overview

The main church of the community is dedicated to Zoodocho Pigi. It was built at the end of the 19th century, between the years 1888-1890, on the foundations of an older church. In 1953, part of the church was destroyed by the strong earthquake that struck Paphos. In 1956, the church was rebuilt and was extended 20 feet to the west. The church of Zoodochos Pigi, ends in a polygonal arch on the outside and a semicircular one on the inside. There is a dome in the middle of the church. The interior of the church is adorned with a wooden carved iconostasis that was created in 1908. The old icon of the Virgin Mary is awe-inspiring. It has been recently restored. On the Friday of the Feast of the Epiphany, the Church celebrates the feast of Zoodochos Pigi
